The Archers were formed in June 2016, when the team were U8s. We have still got the majority of the U8s team playing now along with new players that we have brought in whilst moving through the different formats of the game. Our aim is for everyone to have FUN and enjoy playing the game – if the players are enjoying themselves they will develop around all corners of the game. We strongly believe in players trying different positions on the pitch in order to help them develop and grow as people and players. We have a great team spirit and quite often meet up for fun days and activities like laser tag and footgolf. We have a fantastic group of parents and family members who come along and cheer on the team every week through rain or shine, regardless of the result.

Players, parents & coaches of the Anchorians Archers, past & present, will forever remember our Assistant Manager Steve Cooke, who sadly passed away in December 2020. Steve was a parent, helper, assistant manager and a friend that would do anything he could to help the team, make everybody feel involved and ensure that we provided a safe environment where football is for all. Steve would always have time for a chat and would do anything to support his son, and the rest of the team, often spending 4 days a week at the club. Steve was dearly loved and made a big difference to the team. He will be forever in our memories.
