Futsal's coming home!

Our Ladies Veteran team recently took part in Kent FA's Women's Futsal Tournament with over 60 players getting involved.

Futsal is a different format of football: played indoors, usually with smaller teams and a much faster pace. Inspired by the Lionesses amazing Euro's performance, Kent FA hosted their summer tournament at Medway Park, with eight teams split into two groups, all playing for their respective group titles.

From the Kent FA website: Catherine Bradley, Kent Futsal Event & League Coordinator, commented, “The festival was fast-paced and competitive with every player and team playing to enjoy it. It was brilliant to see the players learn more about the National Futsal League from Emma Brown, who has played both for the National Futsal League and the National Futsal Deaf England Team. Thank you so much for joining us. I really hope more teams can join the Kent Women’s Futsal League so we can grow the game in Kent and the South East.”

While our Anchorians Ladies didn't come home with a title a great day was had by all involved, and it was a great experience for our Ladies Vets to play something slightly different to what they're used to!
