Play Safe weekend 2023

English football is set to unite again over the above weekend to promote Play Safe – a countrywide campaign to focus attention of the vital importance of safeguarding in our national game. This will be held on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October.

Led by The Football Association, the Play Safe campaign is endorsed by the NSPCC and will be supported this weekend across every level of English football, including the Premier League, EFL, Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship, and across the grassroots game.

This year’s Play Safe weekend focuses on the safeguarding role EVERYONE has to play – coach, player, parent/carer, spectator or volunteer – to keep children and young people safe, no matter what the football setting.

Anchorians FC have joined the pledge to ensure that we will always watch, listen and act to keep our players and young people within a safe environment.

As a parent, coach or player, you can also make your own individual pledge to the Play Safe campaign.

Our players will be given armbands to show their support, and pins given out to our coaches and managers.

Anchorians FC takes the wellbeing and safety of everybody seriously. You can always talk to your team's coach, or contact our Welfare Officers directly.
