Anchorians FC Scores Big with Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund!

Anchorians FC has once again proven why it’s at the heart of grassroots football in Medway—by securing a major win off the pitch! We’re thrilled to announce that our club has been awarded a substantial grant through the Football Foundation’s Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund, marking a transformative moment for our facilities and the future of football in our community.

This funding is part of a broader £877,000 initiative across Medway, with 17 sites—including ours—set to benefit from improved pitch quality, reduced match cancellations, and increased weekly usage.

Anchorians FC isn’t just a beneficiary—the club has proudly joined the Medway Grassroots Football Steering Group, working alongside Medway Council, Kent FA, and other local stakeholders to guide the rollout of the Pitch Power project.
