Anchorians 🤝 Kent FA & BAE Systems

Back in October, we began delivering drop-in sessions for 16-18 year olds, designed and put together by Kent FA in partnership with BAE Systems. The aim was to break down the barriers for young people in Medway who were unable to commit to a club, or regular training and teams.

Over 10 weeks we saw numbers grow, and all players were able to enjoy a hot meal after their free session as well.

Luke, from BAE Rochester, who volunteered to help facilitate the sessions shared his thoughts in the video below:

Anchorians FC Head Coach, James Harrison, also had some thoughts to share, saying, "I've been very lucky to be involved with this. For us, it's provided us with a platform where we can help people get into football that weren't necessarily playing football before. We've been able to branch out to a whole different group of people, and we've been privileged to be part of this."

Kent FA have recently announced that they will be running these sessions again from April, and we look forward to seeing old faces and new in the Spring! Make sure you're following us on Facebook to see more videos from players and James over the course of the next few weeks.

For more information, you can head to the Kent FA's website and read their latest news story on these fantastic sessions.
